Joan Waldron, 77, Of Franklin Lakes

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. -- Joan Waldron, of Franklin Lakes, died Nov. 10. She was 77.

Daughter of the late Donald and Lillian Courter, she was born April 9, 1939, in Paterson. She lived in Franklin Lakes before moving to Stockholm in 1964. 

She worked as a secretary at Patterson State Teachers College and later as the "Hostess with the Mostest" at the Iron Kettle Restaurant. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping with her friends and traveling with her son, brother and sister-in-law.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edgar ("Edzo"). 

She is survived by her children, Bradley Waldron and his wife Kim, Kevin Waldron, Charles Berkemeyer, Susan Gilmer and her husband Will, Christopher Waldron, Stacey Carney and her husband Charlie; grandchildren, David, Patrick, Kelly, Chelsea, and Shawna; and brother, Franklin Courter and his wife Janet,

A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Stockholm United Methodist Church, 27 Country Road 515, Stockholm.
